2001 Suburban Banging Sound Coming from Front Suspension
I have a 2001 Chevy Suburban 2wd with 144K miles, and out of nowhere i just start hearing this banging/clanking/hammering sound that shakes the whole seat coming from, what feels like the front of the car. It happens all the time, except when im stopped of course, but is worst between 20-45 mph. At first i thought it was a wheel weight that was hitting the tie rod end because it had some metal scraped off of it, but after i took it off, it still does the same thing. It also feels like its putting some sort of drag on the wheels when it does it because I kind of move jerk forward ever so slightly, like almost if i had a misfire, but i know that isnt the case.
This video is from someone else, but it sounds exactly the same as the problem im having, but his is when he goes over bumps, cracks, and ride feels stiff, but that isnt the case for me. My issue happens all the time.
Im at a loss.
Any person who might have an idea of what this could be, or has had this happen in the past, would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
