2001 Suburban Gas Gauge, 4x4 switch and rear wipers not working
This is strange..
2 weeks ago we replaced the fuel pump in my truck. So yesterday I'm driving down the road (With a FULL tank of gas) and Whammo the low fuel light pops on and the gas gauge goes to empty.
So I pulled over, turned off the truck and turned it back on. Needle came back up. Went through this process 3 times.. Finally it stopped on Empty.
The 4x4 Switch is not lit up, and the rear wipers will not turn on either.
Any ideas?

Your gauges are going out. It's a common problem from these years. It will eventually knock out all of the gauges! It is covered by a recall, but only if your truck is under warranty. I know ! That sucks ! (watch your speed )
The 4wheel drive has a relay on the transfer case that goes out and will prevent you from changing it into 4wheel drive.
As for the wipers.... I had that problem for a bit but then it just went away? and everytime I brought it to the dealer it tested fine? So I can't help you there.
