Default 2002 Sub Fuel Pump

Hey guys, new to forum. Hope the experts can help me out. My 2002 Suburban was making a funny nise last night when the wife was coming home. She parked it and told me about it when I came home. I noticed the sub still making the noise. It was the fuel pump, stillrunning! The truck had been turned off for more than 2 hours. I tried to start it, but the battery was too low to start it. I banged on the fuel pump with a hammer and it kept running. Finally, I found the wires going to the unit and unplugged it (pump stopped) so I could charge the battery. Ya'll have any ideas? I don't want to pay almost $200 for a new pump and that not be the problem. Any suggestions appreciated!![:'(]

Thanks
Gordeaux

Default RE: 2002 Sub Fuel Pump

Pumps working fine! You have a short topower in f/p wiring, bad relay or short to ground in ECM.
ECM grounds f/p relay, relay supplys power to pump
