Default 2002 Suburban 2500

I am looking at buying a 2002 Suburban 2500 with the 6.0L motor in it. Vehicle itself is very clean. It has 142k miles on it. The owner I am buying it from made several trips out west with it, a few times hauling a 20ft. cargo trailer. Should I be concerned about tranny or motor at all? I have not had an opportunity to drive it, but by buddy who works at a dealership ran it through carfax and it came back clean. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks!

The trans may be nearing replacement time but the engine should be good for quite a few more miles.
