Unhappy 2003 Suburban Extended Crank Issue - help?

Hello,
My 2003 Suburban has extended crank issue after truck as been off for 2-3 hours.
However, if I turn key to ON position and wait 1-2 seconds (after listening to the noise in the back area) the truck starts fine.
If I do NOT turn to ON position and wait, I experience the extended crank and the truck won't start. On the 2nd attempt, the truck will start fine.

I've recently had fuel induction cleaning and replaced fuel filter. I also replaced the spark plugs and wires.

Please help? Thanks!!

check fuel pressure and make sure it doesn't bleed off when you turn the key off, by the sounds of it the check valve in the fuel pump assembly is bleeding off

you can put in an inline check valve to not have to change the fuel pump.

You were right, the problem was the check valve. thanks!
