Default 2003 suburban trailr brake help

hey guys im new to your forum. i have an 03 suburban with the tow package an im hooking up a brake controler. i bought the pig tail from my dealer an have that hooked up an i put in the B+ fuse. now im looking for the wire to hook up by the UBEC. do i have to take the panel out? the studs are under the panel. when i take the cover off they are still not exposed. how does the panel come out, do i have to take off the fender support that it is under?
thanks
