Default 2003 suburban wont start

My suburban with a 5.3 engine will not start. When you first turn the key it acts like it wants to start then just turns over and over. The fuel pump runs for about 2-3 seconds if you bump the motor. What should I look at next?[/align]

whats missing....fuel or spark? And just because the fuel pump runs....doesn't mean the engine is getting fuel. You need to check for pressure, make sure there is fuel in the tank, and that the injectors are opening

on my 01 suburban, it died on the road and it was a recall on the fuel pump system. it seemed like it would start and then just die. idk check into the recall stuff? if not it could be the fuel filter
