I found a 2003 Sub Z71 atdealer for a decent price and 66000 miles. I have also found a 1998 GMC Sub at a dealer w/ 69000 miles and asking about $5000 less--but could probably talk them down more. The 03 is loaded with equipment and needs nothing I can see other than an Onstar update, the 98 needs some interior stuff like vanity mirror covers and center console. I could probably get the 98 for 1/2 of what they are asking for the 03. I am dazzled by all the gadgets and stuff and the way the 03 rides but then I think maybe I should stay with the 98 and Keep It Simple Stupid! What do you all think? Go with the bedazzling 03 and make some payments or go with the 98 and fix 'er up? BTW, mechanically, both the 03 and the 98 seem perfect. Opinions please!

 

I would hope the 98 would be less then half...its seven years older, milage is really irrelavent.....gas milage would be better on the 03 as well, the 98 prolly has the 5.7 and the 03 prolly has the 5.3, the 5.3 is a little more fuel efficient.....

your choice but a 11 year old vehicle compared to a 5 year old....unless the 98 was immaculate and was cheap.........

 

I'd go with the 03'

 

i personally would go with the 03, yeah you will be doing payments but not putting in money to fix it up
