2003 Chevy Suburban Z71 : Strange noise that is audible in cabin (in Park or Drive). Attached video clip captures the sounds perfectly. Noise is louder as you get closer to dash/windshield. The noise gets worse/louder (a) parked or driving on incline or (b) turning the steering wheel right while driving.

Noise goes away when turning left.

Sounds like a dieseling rattle noise; not very audible under the hood.

Any ideas appreciated.

 

probably a failing power steering pump.

 

You might watch the engine , hood open engine running in park , parking brake applied and move the steering wheel left and right and see what might show excessive movement..
