Default 2004 Yukon xl value

I found a 2004 Yukon xl 2500 quadrasteer in my area with right under 100k miles and in really good shape for a 13 yo vehicle. The only problem is the dealer is asking $22k for it. NADA is $12.5k and I think it's worth more than that but not $22k. What would be a fair price? Am I crazy for thinking I can get him down over $7k or does he just think he struck gold?

22,000 is extremely high for a 13 year old vehicle. Dealers are willing to negotiate and he will probably come down quite a bit. Log into kbb.com and check the value yourself.

6.0 or 8.1 motor?

Honestly, if it's an 8.1, that is quite a find, and the dealer probably wouldn't come down much below 20.

With the 6.0, it's not quite as rare, but still relatively rare. I'd go $15k-$16k.

If I remember correctly, Quadrasteer was only available with the 6.0L Engine. The special rear-steer axle couldn't handle the torque of the 8.1L.

I'd go up to $15K, but as someone else mentioned, its 13 yrs old. And only if it's from a non-rusting climate (no snow , salt, etc.)
