2007 Suburban lowering kit
Hi,
I am new to this post so bear with me if this has been answered 100 times or so. I also posted this in the Suburban posts, but they don't get viewed as much as the Tahoe section and they are basically the same trucks. I was looking to lower my 2007 Chevy Suburban LT. I do not know if I have autoride. I know I do have the factory smoothride shocks. I have 26" Driv Sessna wheels with 305-30-26 tires. The truck rubs a little on a full crank right turn, only, I have taken it back to the tire shop twice already. My truck sits really high, especially in the rear. I have seen the McGaughy's 2/3 lowering kit on the Tahoe's, but due to the Subs weight, it surely will be a different kit (I am assuming). Does anyone have any experience with the lowering kits on the new Suburbans and Tahoes? What kit do you recommend and why (ie. ride quality, price, performance, alignment issues, etc)? Does anyone have any alignment or tire wear issues?
I am also installing a set of HID's in next couple days. I ordered them today and will let you know the ease of install and the outcome. Thanks for the reply's and sorryfor all the questions, but I will be of help to many people in the future, I am sure of that..

RE: 2007 Suburban lowering kit
I'm guessing with that tire/wheel combo, there's not much else you can do to affect ride. Isn't it pretty stiff now?
I think the Autoride is only on LTZs.
