Default 2007 Tahoe LTZ Bowties

Has anyone been able to repalce their gold bowties (front and back) with different color bowties (specifically chrome) on their 2007 LTZ? Every after-market place states "does not fit LTZ". Anyone know why? Thanks.

Not sure either - I know when I swapped out for chrome on my Z71, the front was didn't fit 100%, had to angle screw a little; it was like the holes on the grill on the Z71 to accept the screws might not be the same exact size as the other models - maybe this is the case for the LTZ. In all the forums I am in this is the first time I have heard this. I got mine from AutoAccessory4u - maybe check with them or check their website to see if they have anything to say about this.

Bought my chrome bowtie for the front on ebay. It fit exactly. The rear, just took some fishing line and sliced in between the gold and the chrome bowtie...Gold one came right off. Just used a little goo gone to remove the left over tape/glue...

i can't find matching chrome bowties for the front and rear anywhere for a reasonable price. I can find one or the other but not both. Anyone know where to look?

Try to find an All Sales Manufacturing96193C. This is for the front and seems to fit the best in my opinion. Its a smooth chrome finish. The back people usually just remove the gold emblem from the chrome base leaving a chrome bowtie.

I got mine from AutoAccessory4u - they are both on eBay and have a website. Not sure what you consider "reasonable" - 42 for chrome front and 38 for rear one - the billet aluminum is $13 less on each model. With my truck - 2007 white Z71, andthe chrome grill, it really looks good. Can alway go the painted route as well - depending on your color, black looks good too!
