Question 2007 Tahoe won't crank

Well what started a as I replace the dash for cracks has turned into now it won't start after I've got the dash all back in it but all my lights on the dash work but soon as you turn the key to the crank position everything goes blank

did you leave the keys in the ignition in the on position while replacing the dash?
Did you interfere with any wire harnesses i.e. disconnect, move maybe pinch or pull on ?
Have you checked the battery voltage to make sure it's not a run down battery?

I did leave the key on just to move the shifter. ended up having it towed to a buddy the works on GM's and the body control module had no response so replaced it. It cranks and runs fine but now I'm missing the indicator to tell you what gear your in, no reverse lights, and no cruise control.
