Hi guys im new to the forum. I own a 2009 Chevy tahoe hybrid, LFA V8 6.0 .
My lifters went bad on cylinder 7 and 4 , The truck would still run but the noise was really bad , so i took on the task of replacing them. I removed the heads and took them to the machine shop to get them pressure tested and resurfaced, They checked out to good .
so now i , installed the new lifters the very same way they came out , and in their correct position. And installed and torqued both of them, installed rockers and pushrods . So i tried to turn the engine over manually , before proceeding with installing the rest and somehow the engine spins a bit and then reaches a points where it stops . It has bo Sparkplugs installed .
my question is , is the engine supposed to spin all the way freely if I’m doing it manually or is it supposed to stop at a point because the hybrid components , are not letting it spin?
thank you , i hope everyone can help me .
thank you so much !! God bless 🙏🏽
