2010 Tahoe Electrical/voltage problems
Bought a used 2010 Tahoe 6 months ago from a dealership. A week after purchase, after driving for over an hour, I turned the car off for a few minutes and the battery was dead. I took it to autozone and they tested the battery, they said it was fine. The problem didn't happen again until a month later. I was driving down the street and the deck went off and on a few times. Shortly after that the locks went up and down constantly, while the gauges went up and down. The transmission shifted between drive and park and i was unable to accelerate. Stabilitrak warning came on as well as the airbags. I pulled over and turned the engine off hoping that would fix it, unfortunately the battery was "dead" again. I had it towed to the nearest chevy dealership, and they couldn't find any problems, except that the positive battery cable was loose on the fuse that runs to the battery. The truck ran fine for a month, and then the same problem returned. The next time they changed the battery and battery harness, ran fine for a month and then the same thing happened again. Each of the 5 times we took it to Chevy, they said they were unable to duplicate the problem. Only once did they pull error codes, but since they were unable to duplicate the errors after resetting the truck, they said couldn't fix it. I have recently started removing the positive cable and reconnecting it to reset, but that only fixes it for a few hours, a day, or a week. Having a car that is unsafe on the roads or unable to start is not an option for us with a new baby. I have seen many others with this problem, and plenty of forum posts but no definitive solutions. Has anyone had experience with this?

Welcome to the forum.
If you are still within the 5 year/100,000 mile powertrain warranty, I think it's time to get Chevrolet engineering involved. The dealer seems to be in over his head.

Similar electrical issue
Similarly, while driving my radio turn off, dash lights started flashing, door locks cycled, and I couldn't drive faster than about 10 mph. I pulled over, regained normal function in about 10 minutes, and hurried home. Later about 30 minutes later I tried to restart my truck and the battery was dead.
I took it to the dealer. They did a draw test and found that in my case, the rear HVAC (heat, vent, A/C) control head shorted internally causing battery to drain. They replace and programmed the rear HVAC head. Thankfully my truck is still under warranty. It would have cost me $253 in labor and $281.66 in parts.
