22' sensor error

RE: 22' sensor error
After we had our accident the tire shop didn't install the sensor/valve stem. Once we notified them, the body shop ordered the new sensor/stem ($48) and I had a local tire shop install it. It looks like a normal metal valve stem with a 1/2" x 2" sensor on the back end of it. It has a nut on both sides to hold it in the wheel. A couple minutes to program the frequency to the computer and you are back in business.

RE: 22' sensor error
Still thinking about what wheels to get and finally got a little money. I am leaning towards the boss wheels, i have a friend that can get them at cost. I have a few more questions for you. What is your opinion on the wheels? Is there another brand/wheel that you would get that is same price point?
Secondly, how much difference in the ride can I expect if I get the 24 inch wheels over my factory 20's? Will it be a lot rouger, slightly rougher, not noticable, etc? Did your gas mileage go down? How badly?

RE: 22' sensor error
I lowered my (Yukon) when I put the 24's on. I was surprised to find that the ride isn't bad at all. I went with the Foose wheels because they were lighter than some of the cheaper wheels and the quality looked better. And I'll be honest the name "Foose" on the wheels counted as well. The tires rub slightly in the front fenderwells (plastic) when the wheel is turned at a surtain point. It's not causing any damage. As far as gas milage I really haven't paid attention. Due to how heavy the 24's are they have to effect gas milage, performance and braking. But it's all worth it to me

vyslouzil, great looking tahoe. I was looking at the 313's and 318's and after looking at yours, I like the 313's. Ebay has a few 313's if anyone is looking for them.

RE: 22' sensor error
I would buy the 313's but they are only available in a +12 and +40 offset. The 07 tahoes have a +31 offset. I really dont think either of those 2 numbers are close enough to look good. One will be sticking out and one will be under the fender.
VYSlouzil's doesnt look bad. But my wheel shop is for some reason telling me not to put either of those offsets on it? Dont know what to do.

Me either. Just about to pull the trigger on Ebay. vyslouzil, what offset do you have for those rims? Did you get wider wheels to compensate?

schroner,
I think I can answer for you as I have talked with him in an email. He has the +12 offset. The 313's come in 10 inch width only on the 24's. Which doesnt look to bad, however I havent seen a picture straight from the back or front. he sent me more pictures and I personally think they look good.
But my wheels shop said not to do that, but gave me no real reason???

RE: 22' sensor error
Thanks biglg. I am thinking about the 20 x 8.5 with the +40 offset. I don't think it will bother me if they stick out a little. i definitely don't want them hiding under the wheel well.

RE: 22' sensor error
The stock offset is +31. The +40 wont stick out. It is opposite as you think. The +40 will actually sit in more on the wheel well. THe +12 would be the one that sticks out.
