4L60E Trans temp. sending unit location
As I'll be towing a 22' TT this summer in the desert southwest, I wish to install a trans temp guage. Got under the Burb and found that there is a threaded hole with threaded plug on the drivers side of the 4L60E just above the gear selector area. I took the plug out and fluid does come out of this hole. It looks like the threads are NPT so an Auto Meter sending unit might fit at this location.
Will this location be suitable for monitoring trans temp?
