Default 6.2l Tahoe

Looking at getting maybe another truck to match the wifes but have a question about the 6.2l. my question is why are the tahoe's and yukons at 380hp, and the caddy and denali trucks a whopping 403hp. Is it internals or is it things like the intake manifold and headsand such?

The engines are the same (even the part #), the ECM software is slightlty different.
Reason being that when a customer pays a premium for a Cadillac they should get a little extra.
In reality though you probaly cannot tell the difference if you were to compare side by side.

I believe it was motor trend that did a comparison and the caddy was only 0.1 second faster in the 0-60 time.

the caddy has a 6.2L 403HP V8, while the tahoe has a 5.3L 320 HP V8.... (And 6 vs 4 speed auto, respectivly)

anyway; they TOW THE SAME! the ONLY reason I can fathom for the caddy is towing, but hey, bling can't tow!

That was comparing a caddy to a denali. I'm assuming the tahoe 6.2 will be tuned the same as the denali.

I wonder how caddy feels that the tahoe is getting its engine? You can now get the white diamond paint job, but I don't think you can get the 6.2 and the white diamond. 1300 bucks for a paint job is a little stiff if you ask me.
