FYI, a 383 is a 350 with a 400 crank. That being said, you might want to consider a Chevy crate engine. They come with a 3 year/36,000 mile warranty. By the time you rebuild your 350, especially if you upgrade to a 383, you will have about the same amount of money in the project.
