Default 97 suburban won't fire up

I have a 97 suburban that won't fire up. I have replaced the fuel pump and filter, and I know it is getting fuel through the lines. It is fuel injected, and I unhooked the fuel lines on top of the engine, turned the key, and the fuel pump pushed fuel out of the lines onto the engine. It fires up if I pour gas through the air intake, or spray starting fluid through the air filter, but it won't continue to run. Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, I'll give that a try and see if it works for me.
