Tahoe & Suburban The power, space, and brutal towing ability make the Tahoe and its longer sibling, the Suburban, arguably the best full size SUV's on the market today.

Welcome to the forum.
Somehow I'm having problem with stopping from 50 miles an hour in 30 ft.

Must be something wrong here. My old 1998 K-1500 won't stop in 30 ft at 50 MPH either.

Damn those Chevrolet engineers !!

My braking on my '99 Tahoe is kinda opposite, seems like. If I have to get on the brakes kinda hard, seems like they want to lock up. Then, when I take off, they unlock hard. You can actually hear a " clunk" and feel it unlock. It's a 4wd. Thought it might be transfer case. Replaced the transfer case module, front brake calipers, replaced ball joints. Still does this periodically. Have not replaced the master cylinder, but they don't seem soft, and only seems to do it after I've been " city" driving awhile. After alot of stopping at traffic lights and such..any ideas?? Is it just a " normal" old Tahoe thing?? Truck looks good, runs good, otherwise.. 250k miles on it.
