Default Adding second key fob

Does anyone know how to program a second key fob without disabling the other one? I've tried programming them at the same time, taking the battery out of one while I program the other, putting one fob in the house so it's presumably out of range while I program through the DIC but could only get one to work at a time. Do I have to go to the dealer?

p.s. bought the other key fob as "Factory Gm Key Fob" from Amazon for my '08 LTZ

Thanks in advanced.

From my owners manual:

Relearn Remote Key
To access this display, the vehicle must be in PARK (P).
This display allows you to match Remote Keyless
Entry (RKE) transmitters to your vehicle. To match an
RKE transmitter to your vehicle:
1. Press the trip odometer reset stem until RELEARN
REMOTE KEY displays.
2. Press and hold the trip odometer reset stem for
three seconds.
The message REMOTE KEY LEARNING ACTIVE
will display.
3. Press and hold the lock and unlock buttons on the
first transmitter at the same time for about
15 seconds.
On vehicles with memory recall seats, the first
transmitter learned will match driver 1 and
the second will match driver 2.
A chime will sound indicating that the transmitter
is matched.
4. To match additional transmitters at this time,
repeat Step 3.
Each vehicle can have a maximum of
eight transmitters matched to it.
5. To exit the programming mode, you must cycle the
key to LOCK/OFF.

Ya I figured it out. I was cycling off in between fobs. Just had to program the 2 fobs within the same cycle (aka don't take the key out of the ignition).

It's interesting though that the owners manual mentions 2 ways to program. I used the one that utilizes the DIC. In fact, I never even saw the set of instruction above (which was right on the next page from the DIC instructions).
