2003 Chevy Astro (Cobra Conversion) Front A/C cold air....Rear none....Looked under hood and fuse was blown...I replaced it and all seems fine but then the fuse blows again(after a couple minutes)
Any Suggetstions????

yes....I took the blower out and have a new one coming today...Im definitely no mechanic ..Hopefully the new blower will do the trick...Other than that my understanding it could be the resistor???

I dont even know at this point where the resitor is located ..hopefully i wont need to.

I replaced the blower id does the exact same thing...My friend said the resister only controls the low to high switch ....if it goes bad i would still have high setting in the rear that i have a short somewhere...=/ ???

this may help, how long does the blower work before it blows the fuse? you may try bypassing the resistor with some jumpers. if this works without blowing the fuse you have ruled out the rest of the circuit. if it still blows you have got a short in the main power wire going to the resistor. you can ohm it out to a body ground and trace it back to the fuse. if its running for a little bit then blowing it could be the resistor heating up and shorting internally.

thanks for your help....Your message made me want to look at the resistor...I got the reservoir out and saw that there was antifreeze leaking out of a fairly new radiator ..I had to add more than a half gallon. if it werent for your reply i may have run the thing dry. Im gonna find the leak and replace the resistor while im there. where the resistor plugs in is rotten which probably allows considerable moisture to get in..The resistor was dirty and rusty. I will get that squared away and go from there. Thank You again!
