Default auto brightness control for nav display

I cant seem to get my automatic setting to work for adjusting the brightness of my nav screen. Has anyone been able to make the auto tab work? I am tired of switching from day to night whenever I get in the car.

I had this issue too but has now seemed to have gone away. Try changing to night and then back to auto to see if that works. If not try playing around with the brightness for the day and night. One of those 2 things seemed to do the trick for me.
