I hope Jeff Morris is reading this particular forum section, the General needs to hear our voices.

I must say, fold away mirror options in the DIC is well simply GENIUS!!!

You all have great idea's and advice with our Hoe's and Kon's. Makes my visits here always worth while.

Keep up the great work all of you

My only two requests to the General on our Kon's and Hoe's would be MORE STORAGE, you listening Jeff Morris...more storage brotha!

Secondly, more over all control of options and features period. The General really needs to get away from the My way or no way mentality. Eventually, the General could lose it's customer base because of tude like that.

How about middle seats that fold flat like the GMT 800s did?

Not sure the cooled seats are worth it since they rely on blowing air thru the perforated leather. When you're sitting on the holes, there's no air flow and there doesn't seem to be any thru the backs.

As someone said: In the Volkswagen Group of car manufacturers you can set and modify all those electronic gimmicks by yourself in the board computer. I doubt it would be a major cost overhead to develop this ONCE for GM.

Retained Power Toys for 10 min after key is removed. ALL.

Front wipers should go DOWN when I take the key out mid-swipe (the rear does).

Don't make me buy an OBD-II scanner. The car KNOWS what's wrong, display it on my 7" sat nav screen. if the GPS can tell when I'm low on fuel... it can tell me this.

A GPS that wasn't designed by an 80 year old for an 80 year old (look at the My Ford Touch).

MORE options in the DIC, like the folding mirrors, radio on after key, etc, can all be made options.

A GPS that lets me enter street addresses WHILE MOVING, or like the Chrysler MyGig, with my VOICE... (yes, you can say "York", then "Fox Street" then "456" and it will do it.

Caller ID that uses my phone's addressbook. WTF is caller ID numbers?! I have 200+ names in my cell phone, I don't even know my WIFE's new number... I know her NAME, so when she calls, why can't the car show it?! my phone knows it.

OnStar's calling. has to go. WHO has a $40,000+ SUV and ohh, gee, just happens to NOT have a cell phone?

OnStar's fake emergency reponse. If I crash, use MY phone for FREE to call 911. Don't make me pay for a life boat. Ford doesn't. If my car has the ability to call 911 in a wreck, and doesn't because I didn't pay the $9.95 (or whatever), I will sue your *** just to bring it to the attention of the world, I don't care win or lose, I will just do my best to drag your *** through the mud, and show how horrible an idea it is. (just crash response, I have no issues with other services of OnDrugs). The car has air bag sensors, it has a cell phone 911 is a FREE call. Everything else is software in a car I PAID FOR.

But, on the bright side, if we had access to the source code, why couldn't we tell the BCM to fold the mirrors while it's in park, or when u hit lock / unlock?

Personally, this would not work for ME, since I have a 1 car garage and need to fold the mirrors to get in the door... lol. but it could be an option.

I think BMW mirrors can fold when you put it in park.

I'd also allow the power windows to work whenever the car is unlocked.

the tailgate does, so why can't the windows?!

I'd also have the rain sensor check for rain every 20 min when the windows are down and it's locked... if it senses rain... put the windows UP.

Ferrarri does that with their convertables... it's all there, you just need software to tell it what to do!

Please dont tell me you paid sticker?

I too think there are some really good and practical ideas listed above but keep in mind you have to consider some of the potential liabilities and hazards involved with some options particularly with power available without the key or windows closing with no one present... consider those that leave kids and pets in the car and may not realize or think about what features are enabled at any given time...
Yes it would be nice to see a bit of chlorine added to the gene pool from time to time but we have demanded that our lives be protected from ourselves, and to that everything has to be geared to protect the weak link in the chain...

Interesting theory and there is some truth about it. But considering this as a reason for not having automatically folding mirrors is a little far fetched. When I buy a gun no one tells me that I can kill an unlimited number of people with it or when the GPS says turn right I will surely not drive into the store entrance beside me. It's just common sense and having special options (such as power windows without key etc.) selectable in the board computer would solve this issue because if someone wants it, he can simply select it by himself. We do not always need warning stickers for every little bit. Thinking is sometimes required. But unfortunately the US legal system supports the 'you didn't put a warning sticker so its your fault' way of life.

No, sticker was $57,600 09 LTZ loaded to the gills. My non negotiable price was supplier pricing $48,800 + 6% sales tax + dealer whatever fee + $940 5 year bumper to bumper.

As for kids / pets in car... kids can open / close manual ones any time they want... leaving power ones on is the same thing. I can power open / close my power lift gate any time the car is unlocked... why can't I open / close the stupid windows?!

You got one helluva good deal. My sticker was $58,090. I got employee price at $52,349 less $2,500 incentives. Supplier price would have been $53,988. My GMPP 72 mo/48k mi was $860 plus I got what was left on my GMPP rebated back.

Were you actually eligible for GMS pricing or did you just set that as a peg point?

I belong to PSECU, so yes, I am/was eligible. I also got $2,500? or $1,000 for owning a GM already (my old tahoe)...

I actually wanted an 08; but with the new 6 speed, cooled seats, and brake controller, and supplier pricing, I went with the '09...

GM's also cut me a check for $940 since they voice commands don't work for destinations in my truck...
