I recently bought a 2005 Suburban 2500 with the 8.1L engine and 4WD.
A previous owner replaced the Autoride shocks with regular shocks and also added the resistors to keep from getting the Service Autoride fault.
I would like to restore the system back to Autoride.
Rock Auto has the rear Autoride shocks, but not the front ones. I have not been able to find any front Autoride shocks anywhere. GM has apparently discontinued them.
Does anyone know where I can buy front Autoride shocks?
If I can't find them, do you think there would be any handling issues with rear-only Autoride shocks, while installing regular shocks in front?
I have autoride with air shocks in the rear on my 2001. Here is a pic of the shocks that are stock on the front of mine. If you have any other questions bud feel free to ask.
