Default back seat heater takes long

hi,
i recently purchased a 2000 Suburban. when i turn on the back seats' heater (either the ceiling or foot) it takes at least 15 mintues for the hot air to star. by that time, my trips are usually almost at an end. any ideas what could be wrong.

thanks

Welcome to the forum.

Does the front heater heat up faster? If so, maybe the rear heater core is partially plugged which is restricting flow.
