Default Brake Rotor Thickness

'04 Tahoe 2WD. What was the rotor thickness when the truck was new ? Want to mic mine to compare for wear to consider new ones or to turn mine. Thanks. *BW*

The minimum thickness used to be stamped on the rotor. Not sure if that's still the case. Unless they've been turned before, unlikely that they're worn down to the minimum.

Personally wouldn't have them turned unless warped in which case you'll probably need to replace.

Understand that and thanks but the only info I have is what the new thickness is on the replacement ones from a parts house. Don't have a GM manual to ref to. Thought someone here might have checked it out before. Thanks. *BW*
