Default Cheap Muffler for 07?

Gents,

I am in need of a low cost muffler for my 07 Tahoe. I don't want it super loud just enough to give it some more meat. I was thinking about the Zoomers muffler. However I was thinking the Magna Flow. Suggestions comments?

It sounds good. At first it was loud but mellowed out.. The system is just like the one you would buy from magna flow that cost 600+.. I paid 250 for everthing, couldn't pass that deal up.

I don't understand why Someone would want a "CHEAP " muffler on a $40K vehicle.

Well I want sound not increased perfomace. I don't need a Borla stainless system. I spent 1200 doing the pipes filter and fuel injection on my 30K Harley. So I am not afraid to spend money. However 10 more HP is not worth me spending another 500 bucks.

I went to a muffler shop here in town. It goes from knowing someone who know the owner of the shop to getting a great deal. I can't find the invoice, but I basically got everything at cost...if not cheaper. The sound is great especially off the line, but at high speed it mellows out a little. It is a 3" pipe from the cat-back. You still hear it, but not as loud. As far as performance, I am sure there is an increase, just don't know exactly what. I am trying out that GTech Pro SS to see what numbers I can get.

By the way Unclebill the muffler is a magnaflow I just got it at cost. You know that the prices are inflated outrageously. Why spend the extra 500 on stainless when you can't see the pipe under the car anyway.

I think zoomers has a kit that is just the muffler along with a full cat back kit. Thanks for you're feed back.

Fla,,

No problem...I would just get the muffler and tip..get someone (muffler shop) to do the install. All they would do is bending the pipe that goes over the axle and the welds. If you were here in Texas, I could hook you up with just about the same price. The tip is black anodized which is about a 1 1/2 ft long. If you get the parts on your own, the shop shouldn't charge you much. I would price the muffler and tip then go to the shop and see if they could match or better the deal. Good luck, let me know how things go and send some pics after.
