Chime not working on 2008 Tahoe

The seatbelt / key in ignition / backup assist chime on my 2008 Tahoe is barely audible. It works properly about 5% of the time and the rest of the time, It's so faint that it almost can't be heard. Any ideas ?

They will be able to assist you further after an inspection of the vehicle.

Did you scroll thru the dic choices, I believe one is chime volume.

I did. The chime is set on loud.

In addition to the chime, now my stereo only has sound through the 2 front tweeters and is barely audible

The chime does go through the speakers, might want to check the connections at the back of the radio as CCS suggested... Don't just push it in or wiggle, fully removed the connection, inspect for corrosion maybe even wipe them with an alcohol soaked q-tip and re-install.

Your problem is addressed here: https://chevroletforum.com/forum/sil...s-issue-34419/

You just need to replace the speakers.
