dash bubbling
Question about a prob on my 2009 Suburban. The dash has some areas where the paint is bubbling up and I'd like to repair it if possible. I'm not sure exactly how this needs to be done.
I've also seen some covers like the one's at txdashcovers but not sure if they are worth it either.

Welcome to the forum...
Yeah the dashes in the gmt900 are painted, if you are seeing bubbling it could be because of treatments applied to the dash, i.e. armor-all, it can get into micro tears and pits in the paint and slowly separates the paint from the plastic..

1.)Rub off the peeling parts and live with it...
2.)Remove the dash strip off old paint (not sure how this is done on plastic) have it repainted or leave it with base color.
3.) Order a new dash replacement...
Those are what come to mind, perhaps someone else will have some input..
GM parts direct has the dash and colors listed (called instrument panel)

When I parked mine outside, I always used a sunshade, maybe this helped... I don't know.

Not mine, but I thought that was funny.
If it were mine... I'd just leave it. Sometimes the cure isn't worth the hassle.
It's like touch up paint. a good idea until you try it and it only makes the thing MORE noticeable...
Do you have any pics of the damage?
