Delay shift into 'D' from Park

So a few times this week I've had to actually wait about 2-3 seconds after putting the truck into 'D' from either reverse or park before the trans actually engaged.
Any thoughts on this?
Truck is a '13 LTZ with HD tow package, 3.42 gearing.
I hit onstar up for an on demand diagnostic and they said all checked out.
