Projections currently are that starting in model year 2009 you will see the new 4.5L Duramax offered in the 1500 Silverado/Sierra and the following year in Tahoe/Suburban and Avalanche models.

This smaller Duramax actually puts out 20 more horsepower then the original 2001 LB7 6.6L version, it should be a very good seller.

It will not have the Allison, it will be equipped with the new 6L80/90E, the Allison just won't fit underneath the body without raising it, this would make an impractical vehicle for small children.

I think that looks great!! I wish they wouldalready havethat option for cashmere leather with black flooring where your dirty feet are. I definitely would have gone with that combination. Much more practical than cashmere on cashmere. I even like the leather wrapped armrests on the door, but could get dirty quickly and a constant need for cleaning.

Some guys have said that the black shows more dirt then the cashmere, and that comes from guys that own it in black.
