Default ecm1 fuse keeps blowing the (10amp)

hey guys i have a old 2002 suburban and my ecm1 fuse keeps blowing when i put it into gear was wondering could anybody give a start on where to look for a short ik its a short somewhere i just dont know where to look it just happened outta blue i was driving it and then i pulled up to the atm and the fuse just blew and it was letting get by for a while now it wont shift into gear at all please someone give me some advice please

since it only happens when you move the gear shift lever, the short is likely internal to the transmission. Possibly solenoid failure, fluid in the connectors, etc.

it shift into gear but as soon as i do it blows the fuse and i just put a new transmission in it and the fluid is kinda milky so im guessing water was in the transmission could that cause a short and will changeing the fluid fix the problem?

The transmission is ruined unfortunately. Probably a bad radiator.

it was driving at first the problem just like came outta no where and its not over heating or anything i put a test light on the postive terminal with the car off and the light came on i know that means i have a short somewhere but the transmission was moving the truck for a while i pulled up to a atm then it just shut off on me and ever since then its been doing it constantly

It could be something in your steering column too that may be shorting. Also if you pop the hood and look straight back from the vortec cover /throttle body against the fire wall there is a wire back there it's kinda hard to see and get too but it can be done kinda easy. Check and make sure it's grounded on a small bolt on the fire wall. I've read so many post of people having issues with that and it making there vehicle act kinda erratic. I will try to find a pic of that wire and bolt so you know what to look for.

the pic would definitely help me out i dont wanna sell its a good truck with a good engine in it thats the only thing that’s happening if anybody else could give some advice on where to look at that would be helpful too

Couldn't find the right video but I'm going to keep looking but look under your vehicle around the exhaust and the driveline and see if there's a group of wires that our rubbed thru. I believe you said your transmission was just replaced so I'm sure they were moving stuff to get it in and i bet a wire loom either rubbed thru or melted near your exhaust. Here is a link to give you a idea but I'm going to try to find you something better. An is there any trouble codes coming up.

the only ones i have are my o2 sensors and that’s because someone had stole my cats from under my trunk and i hadn’t known but thats the only code it pulls other then that no official codes
