Default Engine tick after sensor replacement

I have an 08 Tahoe and a couple months ago the oil pressure sensor went bad causing the gauge to fluctuate from 0 to 80 spontaneously. The engine was quiet as can be until I replaced the oil pressure sensor. As soon as that was replaced, the pressure Gage is correct and now works, however there is a ticking sound coming from the engine.
