First problem with Tahoe, but nothing can be done, yet!

I too have more knowledge about jeep rear ends an lockers, but it may be an issue that the limited slip additive was not properly added at the factory. In my '06 4x4 Silverado, I had some serious dragging of the rear tires while navigating a parking garage. I changed the diff fluid and added the GM additive and the problem was resolved.
Not positive but I don't think the Eaton G80 locker needs the Posi-trak additive. The additive is for the clutches.

Well right now I am happy they did not find a problem, but I am still a little worried it will pop its ugly head when I move back to FL and start towing my boat.
My current boat is 6,000lbs tow weight. Although I will be getting a new one that will weigh 8,000
I hope the stress from towing doesn't screw it up to the point of catastrophic failure.
My last two chevy trucks are almost near 200k and they never had a warranty issue, so I guess I'm overdue to encounter issues on this one
