Fuel pressure tool review
So I got me an Actron CP7838 Professional Fuel Pressure Tester from Amazon for $50, looks to be good quailty, decent tool
comes with accessories for doing older and late model vehicles, thou it doesn't say it on the website the instructions say NOT to use it on flex fuel vehicles...
so I'm thinging WTF! then it dawned on me that you can use it flex fuel vehiclesbut you should't use it for alcohol or desiel fuels... I only run gasoline.
I hooked it up to my 2007 Tahoe, no Im not having any issues I just like cooltools... The only port Icould find under the hood was on the passenger side fuel rail. (after removing the egine cover shrowd, fyi put a little silicon lube on the mounting **** and the cover goes on and comes off much smoother)
Hooked it up, put key start position but did not crank and got 55psi reading, cranked and started, it reads a steady 60psi. that's a lot of pressure so word to the wise for shade trees..
I drained the pressure release into my lawn mower gas can, but it wasn't a lot maybe a couple of teaspoons full.
Becareful as there will be some fuel leakage at install and removal of the fitting from the port, not a lot but enough to leave the smell of fuel in the air for a while and a small splash on the fuel rail.

RE: Fuel pressure tool review
I also have the Actron CP9125 PocketScan Diagnostic Code Reader for OBDII (Post-1996) Vehicles
I have had it for a few years, it works well for reading and clearing codes, I'd like to get one of the new ones that has more read back and other functions
maybe the Actron CP9180 AutoScanner Plus Diagnostic Code Scanner with Live, Record and Playback Data Capability and O2 Monitor Test for OBDII (Post-1996) Vehicles
