Default Fuel Vent Hose Location

Proud owner of an 03 Burban!! While changing the oil last week I noted a small hose hanging close to the differential housing and drive shaft. I traced the other end up into the area around the fuel nozzle hose. It has a small plastic cap on that end but is not directly connected to the fuel hoses. Where does the other end plug into? The length puts it around the tank area....
thanks in advance!!

Welcome to the forum.

Could it possibly be connected to the differential as a vent to prevent water from getting in the differential in high water conditions?

If it travels up to the fuel fill area there are two possibles. One is that it could be the fresh air inlet for the EVAP vent canister. And it also could be the fresh air inlet for the air compressor for the rear suspension if you have that RPO option.
