Default Help

My apologies up front as I'm new to this. I hit a deer recently with my 07 Tahoe and since have been getting different warning messages. Minor damage was to the right front. Busted headlamp assembly, broke turn signal bulb and ripped out marker light leaving bare wires. First day after damage had "Service Stabiltrak" and "Service Traction Control" message but, they went away after limping along for a mile or so. This happened three different times and went away each. The last time I tried driving it I got "Low oil pressure turn engine off" message. Oil and oil level fine. I went ahead and replaced oil pressure sensor/switch to no avail. I'm about to turn over to mechanic!

Have you tried running a test through the computer. You can buy one or go to a auto store and they will do it for free or for realy cheap.

Unbelievable to me but, after an oil change, disconnecting battery and unplugging BCM the low oil pressure warning has gone away. Fingers crossed! I put about 60 miles on it last night and so far so good.

There were issues with ''fretting corrosion'' in GM module connectors in the late '00's and early teens. That's why unplug and plug in worked.
Spraying an electronic cleaner / lube in them is the cure when apart. Malibu's even had a recall for brake lights staying on with BCM connector issues.
A can of it is always in my garage and I use it whenever I have a connector apart now.
