Default hey shawnvw re DL3

My local dealer stated they could not do the DDS and PDS Tech 2 on my LS. I took the switches out of my 08 Silverado LTZ and put them in my Tahoe, and all functions work.
My confusion is why do some dealers do the flash and other do not?

Any insight from a GM Tech perspective will be appreciated.

Did you tell them that you had swapped mirrors?
Its my understanding that GM does not support non-standard or user upgrades/modifications...
I bet you have to go to another dealer and play dumb blonde that can't understand why your DL3 mirrors don't work any more because they used too..[sm=boohoo.gif]
But lets hear what Shawnvm has to say....

in2pro, you pretty much hit it on the head. Not only does GM Not support it, but most techs are leary about doing that kind of stuff. They don't know it'll work and could wasted a lot of their time that could be spent rackin up flat rate hours.
Some dealerships have the know-how with this stuff, while others only want to do warranty and maintenance

I played the dumb blonde route. After 2 excruciating hours they said my VIN number did not come with those options and they could not figure out what to do. I'll take hubby's LTZ in this week and say options stopped working. This of course, will not be a big deal because his truck came with the options and will be covered under warranty.

At least the price is right. The inconsistent outcomes, however, wear me out.
