Default How are the GMT400's?

Hi all,

I am looking at purchasing a used GMT400 Tahoe. Most of the vehicles I am looking at are at around 160,000 miles. I have heard great things about the Vortec 350. How is the 4L60E? I have read reviews from people who had to have it rebuilt at 150k and others who have 220k with no problems? So, realistically, how are these vehicles? Also, do they have a factory trans cooler?

Thanks!

I've owned 4 different rigs with the 4L60E. One of them had a transmission failure at 128k miles, one I sold with 175k miles, another I sold at 140k, and I sill own the other with 150k miles. So I've had a 25% failure rate with that transmission.
