ngk iridium plugs they are the best and if ngk makes a laser iridium buy it you will like it also never point the bent piece at the end of the plug to the piston. always point the plugs ground to the exhaust valve from 12 oclock to 7 oclock .thats the may chevrolet does it. no wonder it cost $225 to have a tune up done at chevrolet dealerships

WHY does it cost over 300$ to have the spark plug wires (only the wires) replaced at the dealer? I think I can see them all when looking under the hood (2007 Tahoe). Are that made of material imported from mars? Are is this just another way to recoupe from there currently millions of recalls. Even changing the plugs is 235$. I'm ok with that, it looks like it may be a little hard to get to them. I would love to do them myself but can't, but over 500$ to do the two items??? Am taking trip from St. Louis to So Cal and it's running fine but just wanted to be prepared. Recommendations? I'm probably over reacting and it will be no problem as it's suppost to do just that, Cruz!!

the wires are easy, just pull them off, obviously the dealer overcharges wether the job is easy or difficult. they have a lot of overhead to cover. but if you purchase the wires yourself you'll save a lot doing it. or just leave them alone, wires rarely go bad. the plugs are exposed to a lot of abuse, and #8 is a pita to change but can be done if you're mechanically inclined

If you do them yourself, do #8 first and then #7 the rest are all down hill...
I would suggest removing the front passenger tire for #8, it still a bear but beats trying to work around the AC lines and heater hoses
