Default intermediete knocking

Hello
First off i have a 2004 suburban thats somewhat a show car. As i was leaving a show at the end of the year i experieced a intermediete knocking noise that seemed to be coming from the drivers side front end. This happenened while going straight at highway speeds. I was able to pull over and do a quick visual but did not see anything. I was able to drive roughly 40 more miles before it did it again. This time was a slow turn. I havent driven it during the winter much but my short times i did drive it (under 10 miles) it hasnt done it.i really dont want to drive long distance just to be safe.does this sound like a iss issue or something else. Any ideas?
