the corvettes with the Z51 package had the squeeling problem too and chev fixed it with a different pad so I'm told. Maybe they need to do the same with the Tahoe.

Not sure where you heard this but it is inaccurate.
Large and/or performance braking systems are going to make some noises.

Mine has 4500 miles on it and it does the same thing although it doesn't do it consistently. Every once in a while it will do it then it might be a week or two before i hear it again.

My friends Escalade does it as well, he has taken it to the dealer twice but it still does it after replacing the pads and rotors. So complaining about a 45k vehicle doing it... imagine a 65k vehicle doing it

RE: Issue with 07 Tahoe front brakes
Hello All! I've got 70K on my 07LTZ and I need a brake job. Does anyone have any reccomendations on pads, rotors?? Also, do I need any special tools to change out the front brakes??
Thanks,
Jason

My LTZ also had the squeal but it went away after awhile. I now have 12,000 miles and the squeal is gone. I think the pads and rotors just gotta get worked in together. Mine took somewhere around 6,000 miles before it went away.

I have the same issue. They resolved the vibration/squeal when breaking at slow speed yesterday. Told me it is caused by the parking brake and that they made an adjustment. So far so good. The rythmic scraping from the rear is still present. Sounds like a brake pad wear indicator but it is not.

One of the rear brakes on our 02 Tahoe has squeaked since day one. We had it checked under warranty, and they cleaned it up but found nothing wrong. Squeak cam back in two days. That was about 85,000 miles ago.
