Default Key Fob communication Keyless entry problems

Hey Everyone,
So my wife's 2005 Chevy Surburban LT had 2 original key fobs that had sticky worn out buttons. I ordered 2 new OEM fobs off ebay with instructions to program them. I did so, and after about a week they stopped working. I reprogrammed them and after a few more weeks they stopped working again. I tried reprogramming them today, but now I don't get the conformation from the truck (the door lock/unlock cycling) to let me know they are programmed. It seems like a key fob battery issue right? Except I just put new batteries in them as well Any ideas about the communication with the truck, like where it is? Or how hard it is to replace?
Thanks,
Brian
