Default kill switch

Sorry to break it to you, but no one wants to steal an 8 year old car...

Just keep the keys on you, and insure it for theft.

Respectfully.. I want my .02 back.

Yes, There are many ways to accomplish this from a battery disconnect to just interuptting the ignition wire, to putting a switch on the fuel pump, to loading the vehicle w/a GPS tracker, to a switch to shut off the spark plugs, or something like a switch to make the air bag go off if you don't switch it before getting in the vehicle.

However, any and all of it's more hassle than it's worth. that's why cars have keys...

Insure it, lock the doors, and don't park it with a laptop on the front seat in the ghetto...

This " and i dont wanna take it to a electronics shop because i dont trust them"

sounds fishy. hence my less than informative response...

I don't trust electronics shop either because last time I think they ate my ham sandwich...

I'd invest in an ignition interupt car alarm if you are that concerned. one with motion sensetivity... most can be got aroud $200 + install (or, install it your self).

crutchfield will sell you one around $200 that is motion sensetive and will make it so it can't be started w/out the key fob (easily)... because anyone with enough time and skill can steal anything...

I lock my house... but the only thing stopping someone from taking everything that's not nailed down (and even **** that is!) is a 1/8" piece of glass... locks keep honest people honest... nothing more.

and now I've wasted a good $1.00 on this... good thing I'm getting paid while on here !

I agree that a remote or hidden switch to the fuel pump or ignition coil is probably the best bet and also the easiest and cheapest....
thou I do like the idea of having the air bag go off if you don't respond quickly enough....

Or one of those ear-piercing sirens inside the psgr compartment.

A flat bed tow truck makes it pretty easy to steal any vehicle if they want it.
