I have an 02 Suburban 2wd. It has developed a loud humming noise on the driver side front. I have checked tires and brakes/rotors and all are ok. I am convinced it is going to be a hub bearing issue. Has any one had the same problem. Have replaced and repacked bearings on a Ford, but not a Chevy - is it pretty straight forward?

 

Have you picked up a Haynes manual.I checked out my manual and it says that it is not a servicalbe unit and you have to replace the whole thing.You may want to pick one of those up though and it may help you through the whole process in no time.In my experiences,it seems to be easier to refer to the manual.I hope that I have helped you a little though
