LTZ self-leveling suspension problems ?
how can you tell if my LTZ self-leveling suspension has shock absorber problems? The Suburban's front sway bar links have been replaced and ever since then the vehicle has pitch and yaw and seems to ride rough over the road. A good way to test shocks used to be to bounce the vehicle testing the oil/valving in the shocks but with self-leveling shocks, the bags fill and the air system appears to be working. There is very little bouncing up and down going down the road. There are 72K miles on the 2012 LTZ. Why the rough ride?

LTZ usually has electronic shocks along with the rear air suspension. In 122k miles on my '11 LTZ I've had to replaced one rear shock and the air compressor.
A full code scan should be done to see if any suspension codes are set in the system. Parts stores usually can't / don't read those codes.
When my one rear shock went bad it set a code and a service suspension message on the dash. When the compressor went bad it did not set a message but I didn't hear the compressor running on start ups either.
Suspension is too firm for the bounce test on these also.
