Default Mysterious green/white wire on 95 K2500 454ci

Hey guys, newbie here. I recently bought a '95 K2500 with a 454 big block. There is a broken dark green/white wire hanging next to the light green wire that goes to the aux fan switch on the passenger side of the engine.I have looked everywhere in that area and couldn't find where it might connect to. I'm hoping owners of a similar truck can take a picture 'n enlighten me on this one.

A picture and a wiring diagram attached. No wire is broken on the AC switch side or any harness that might lead to the fan control module as far as I can tell. Help please!

BTW I'm also curious where those diodes are. I tried to peel back the wire sheathing as far back as I can but can't find them. Also tried measuring the resistance between the broken wire and all the wires connected to the back of the compressor - all open circuit. It looks as if I can solder in a couple of diodes to connect it to a green wire on the back of the compressor - but why would it the broken wire runs AWAY from the compressor anyway? I'm really puzzled.
