Default nav upgrade 2013 burb LS

hi... I need some expert advice..i have a 2013 LS and I would like to upgrade to the oem nav unit. iv done some research and it seems that to install the oem nav unit you must also have the bose system which I do not have. I would like to know if this is necessary or not. some units that Iv found don't mention anything about needing the bose system. the unit I found is gm part 22997866. before I make an expensive purchase I just want to make sure what I need. any help is greatly appreciated...thanks rob

I've seen units that look just like the own unit and offer a replacement bezel. No Bose required
